And what do you think of the dresses?

  1. They are really gorgeous but don’t you want a new one. like say if someone really stinky wore it?

wouldn’t it make you feel odd

  2. They are both reallyyy cute! That isnt bad buying from eBay!

  3. I could not see the dresses, because the link is blocked on my computer, but that is not crazy… go for it…

  4. Well i like the first dress more than the 2nd one. If you can trust the seller then i dont see anything wrong with buying it from ebay. Why spend tons of money on something you’ll wear once?

  5. I wish I would have saved some money by buying one from ebay!! I like the first one by the way.

  6. I like the first dress more. It’s not crazy to buy a wedding dress on eBay.

  7. tehy’re beautiful

why spend almost a thousand on a dress you will wear only once?

    buy a dress YOU Want

  8. I’m not a lover of fishtail dresses as they can make the thighs look large. The second dress has a nicer top. Lots of people get their dresses from ebay so don’t worry about that :)

  9. Both are really pretty the second picture is my favorite, I would just be careful of the size. Sizes in dresses especially wedding dresses can run really different.
    congrats and good luck!

  10. personally i think its a great idea.
know body needs to know where you got it plus look at the savings to a new dress to wear once.
    they are very nice dresses

  11. They are both very pretty! I don’t think I would hesitate to purchase from eBay – the descriptions have to be accurate. Just make sure the sellers have a good rating. No one has to even know that’s where you got it! Think of all the money you can save for other things by purchasing your dress there!

  12. A friend of mine was just about to send money for her gown to this website, when she realised the address was near to a relative of hers. So she asked him to go check up on the store incase they had something less pricey in stock. When he finally located the place it turned out to be an abandoned building.

  13. Just make sure that you know what size you are, and see if you can try on the dress beforehand (maybe at a diff store) to see if it fits you first and make sure you like it on yourself. cuz i know when i went to try on dresses there were some that i liked but did not look right on me

  14. They are both really gorgeous honestly! Save your money and get it from Ebay! Have them cleaned at the cleaners before the wedding and no one will know! I bought my brides maids dresses from ebay and it was fine! We took them to a locale tailor and had them fitted for the girls and they where only $270.00 for 4 dresses to buy and tailor! Good Luck!

  15. Love the dresses. I didn’t buy my on eBay as it didn’t exist back then, but I think it’s a good idea. I have done a lot of eBaying and I would suggest you really check out the seller. If it’s one of the first things they’ve sold on ebay I wouldn’t buy such an important item from them. I would read carefully through the feedback, especially if you can find clothing items that they’ve previously sold. I would request specific photos…close ups, arm pits!, the hem all the way around, etc You should also get a guarantee that you can return it if you are not satisfied. Congrats on your engagement!!

  16. they are grogeous! i have brought an e-bay dress before for my wedding, it was second hand but it had nothing wrong with it, so yes i would buy the dresses.

  17. I bought my dress from eBay and had a great experience. here is my recap including link to pics:

My only advice is this: buy from a reputable seller with good feedback and a ‘no questions asked’ return policy. also order with alot of extra time in the event of a mishap so you can either get your refund & another dress or get the dress fixed before your wedding.

I ordered my dress over 18 months in advance and I’m thrilled with it!!

  18. If you find your perfect dress on Ebay, buy it. It is a very beautiful dress and I bet you are saving a lot of money on it.

  19. For that price, why not? If there is something wrong with it, you can always get another. The only caution I would mention, is that the picture is just the designer’s photo, that’s not a photo of their actual work. The actual dress that you will get is a copy remake of the dress, so it may not be exact to the picture.

  20. if u like it then it shouldnt be a prob

    the dresses is ok

  21. OH YES!! This is definitely the way to go. Definitely check the store’s rating on eBay….most of these are very high for bridal dresses. This is highly recommended in a book called Bridal Bargains that is brilliant!! I have ordered my dress from Honey Bridal on eBay and they are just the SWEETEST people….brand new dress….should be custom fit (they got 10 different measurements from me), sent me lots of ACTUAL pictures of the embroidery on the dress and they email me back to my questions in record time. Also, just so you know shipping is higher, but SOOO worth it because the dress is still super-cheap-for-a-great-quality-product because it doesn’t have to go through a traditional retail store and salesperson. Just BE SURE to check one thing —looks like this is a store in China (like many of them are). They just had an earthquake. Before you buy or order anything, email them and ask them if they are OK from the earthquake.

  22. Both dresses are pretty. I prefer the second.
Just give yourself lots of time and make sure that you understand they are coming from China, so you have lots of time for alterations, etc. The quality will NOT be there like i a dress from a US salon, so you can’t expect that either. But for the price you will pay, it’s a heck of a deal! A lot of people have had good experiences & some have had bad ones too. I know there are brides on OffBeat Bride who have posted about getting dresses off kaersen.com

Personally, I would use the bigger sites like kaersen.com, weddingo, lilywedding, kanaccasbridal.com and peridress.com who actually have their own sites and customer service departments – this gives you someone to talk with and a bit more interaction in the process – and I understand that some of them ship in less than 6 weeks, world-wide. Good luck!

BTW – Nicholette above makes a good point – I had forgotten about the devastating earthquake that just hit China, even though I had read about it earlier, I had not made the connection. Many of these stores & factories may be down due to the huge toll on lives and destruction – but others may be in other parts of the Orient. NOW might not be such a good time to be ordering from China! Perhaps it would be better to look for an E-bay seller in the US instead… at the very least find out exactly where they are before you order!

  23. Not crazy!!! Just check the buyer feedback and make sure you are allowing some extra time.

  24. A friend of mine bought her dress from eBay. She loved it. As long as you try the dress on in a store first to make sure you like it on you, it’s fine.

  25. It’s a crapshoot – you might get something really nice or you might end up with someone else’s pit stains. Personally, as hard as it was for me to find a dress I liked (tried on 60+), I couldn’t buy something I couldn’t touch and view in person before buying. If you think you’re picky, I’d say no way! But if you aren’t, it might work for you.

  26. My cousin did and her dress was great, it was clean and fit prefect and got there on time. I would say yes you should buy it on Ebay.

  27. I purchased mine on Ebay… It is perfect!! Gorgeous and Just what I wanted for a fraction of the price!! I just made sure and checked their feedback, crossed my fingers and bought it!! Oh, AND I bought all four of my bridesmaid dresses on ebay also ($24.00 for all 4, brand new!! with s&h)

  28. Oh wow the first one is amazingly gorgeous!!! I’d pick that one for sure lol… I bought my dress off of eBay. Saved $950 on it and I love the fact that it was made to my measurements and no one else has ever tried it on before. Just make sure and check the feedback… and even email a few people who have bought dresses from them and ask how their experience was. That’s what I did when I was thinking of buying online.

  29. Buying from ebay is a great idea HOWEVER…both the dresses you picked are from China sellers and are copies of designer dresses. I have heard horror stories about the dresses falling apart when they are ordered from places like that. It would probably be in your best interest to buy only from sellers in the us who have 100% positive feedback rating. A lot of bridal shops will sell their floor model dresses at a very low cost and they are still new with tags. I got my dress on ebay for about $200 and it is beautiful. If it sounds too good to be true (like 4.99 for a custom made dress) then it probably is so beware.

But if you do go with one of those i like the first one :)

  30. It is not crazy at all!

If you have it pressed (NOT cleaned!) after you get it, that will kill any bacteria on the dress, and make it look all brand new again.

No one will know you bought it on Ebay unless you tell them.
Why spend $1000 on a dress that you can spend $200 on?
