ebay Does ebay charge your seller account monthly even when you dont sell?
firebolt789 asked:

The question pretty much says it all. I saw that they have Shop fees ( http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/storefees.htm ) but I have only sold on eBay a couple of times. Does that make me a ‘Basic’ shop and will I therefore have to pay £6.00 a month even when I don’t sell?

On this invoice that eBay sent me, I was only charged £6.72 for final value fees, but no indication of any ‘subscription fee’…

If I do get charged monthly, I think I will have to contact eBay and have my Seller account cancelled. It was only a one-off thing anyway.
Anyone?

  1. yes, it was spelled out on the page when you opened your shop

  2. If you have a shop, then you will have to a monthly “rent” to eBay, whether you use it or not. You may also have to pay extra fees if you have Selling Manager Pro, or Sales reports set up.

If you have a shop, make the most of it – the listing fees are peanuts, although the exposure is greatly reduced. If you have any unsold items from auctions you have recently ran, park them in the shop so they are still available for sale.

When you next run a normal auction, make sure you put links in it to go back to our shop listings, and gain more exposure that way.

  3. Ebay stores charge… but their listing fees are 10cents for a month….where a real-time auction is 35 cents….

The stores is the way to go if you have bulk slow moving items.. Pay the fee…
